Fury and published by The Boydell Press in 2012. \u00a0This book appears to be something that I would really enjoy: \u00a0a historical study of English maritime day-to-day activities set in exactly the time periods that I&#8217;m most interested in (Elizabethan and Jacobean). \u00a0What a great thing!<\/p>\n<p>I looked the book up on Amazon and discovered, much to my chagrin, that it is $120 new and about $70 used. \u00a0That is a little too dear for my blood at this point in life.<\/p>\n<p>Below the book listing I spotted what I thought was an electronic, downloadable version of the book for just $9.95! \u00a0Well, I could afford that, I thought. \u00a0However, clicking on the link I discovered that what this actually turned out to be was a <em>review<\/em> of the book that one can purchase for $9.95, not the actual book itself.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, I&#8217;m working too hard for a living.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I read, in Renaissance magazine, \u00a0a review of a book called The Social History of English Seamen, 1485-1649, edited by Cheryl A.
